Geförderte Projekte
Im April 2024 ist eine Forschungsallianz zwischen dem Freistaat Bayern und dem australischen Bundesstaat Queensland ins Leben gerufen worden.
Bayerns Wissenschaftsminister Markus Blume betont: „Uns trennen rund 15.000 Kilometer, aber für die Sicherung von Wohlstand und Stabilität bringen wir exzellente Forschungsteams aus Bayern und Queensland direkt zusammen: Mit den ersten ‚Seed Grants‘ im Rahmen der Forschungsallianz mit unserem australischen Partnerstaat machen wir den Boden fruchtbar für wegweisende Innovationen auf zwei Kontinenten. In zehn Projekten zu Schlüsselthemen wie KI oder Energiespeicherung ermöglichen wir exzellenten bayerischen Forschungsteams mit bis zu 10.000 Euro die persönliche Zusammenarbeit mit Wissenschaftlerinnen und Wissenschaftlern vor Ort in Queensland. So werden aus ersten Ideen langfristige internationale Kooperationen und am Ende marktreife Innovationen nach unseren Werten – ganz im Sinn unserer 5,5 Milliarden schweren Hightech Agenda Bayern!“
Die Förderprogramme werden von der Bayern-Australien-Koordinierungsstelle an der Universität Bayreuth organisiert und abgestimmt.
