Joint PhD & Cotutelles (binational doctorates)

Joint PhD or cotutelle procedures are generally possible in accordance with the respective doctoral regulations and must be carried out at the beginning of the doctorate and with the involvement of all stakeholders (especially supervisors, deans' offices, graduate centers). As an aid to standardizing the procedures with clear responsibilities, explaining the processes and for quality assurance, two documents have been drawn up to serve as a guideline.
