Studying abroad can be somewhat daunting, especially at the beginning. In order to ensure that your transition is as smooth as possible, we have compiled an overview of the staff members to contact in various situations. This means that you can directly get in touch with the person who is best able to help you.

I have not yet been granted admission

I would like to apply and have some general questions about the formal application process.Hide

If the application process for your degree programme is not handled directly by the department, please contact the team at Incoming Degree and/or Welcome Service at the University of Bayreuth.

If you are applying for your degree programme directly through the department (i.e. you are not applying through moveON or CAMPUSonline), please contact the relevant staff member referred to on the programme's website.

If you have any questions regarding your higher education entrance qualification or the Studienkolleg, you can also contact the Incoming Degree Team.

I have specific questions regarding the content of a particular degree programme.Hide

It depends how specific your question is. If you have already decided on a degree programme and have specific questions about it, the programme coordinator is usually the best person to talk to. You will find his or her contact information on the page describing that particular course of studies accessed via the Programme Finder.

I am not sure which programme is best for me, and I could use some advice.Hide

First of all, it makes sense to be aware of which subjects you are actually allowed to study in Germany with your foreign degree, regardless of the programme or location-specific admission restrictions.

Perhaps you already know this, e.g. thanks to an assessment report by uni-assist or an evaluation by Bavaria’s office for the recognition of foreign credentials (Zeugnisanerkennungsstelle). If this is the case and you require assistance in selecting a degree programme based on the content, it may be useful to contact Student Advising. In order to ensure that our staff can help you in the best possible way, please do not forget to communicate the information about your higher education entrance qualification (including the origin of the information) when contacting us.

Unfortunately, we are currently unable to offer preliminary assessments of higher education entrance qualifications. However, you have the option of researching this yourself in advance. Reliable information can be found via anabin, the official database of Germany’s Standing Conference of the Ministers of Education and Cultural Affairs (KMK). Go to the "Schulabschlüsse mit Hochschulzugang" tab, then under search ("Suchen”), select your country and your secondary or higher education qualification.
Another option is the DAAD’s admissions database, which provides information on the assessment of degrees from numerous countries of origin in German and English. If you have any questions about the result in anabin, please do not hesitate to contact the Incoming Degree Team.

I am having technical problems with moveON.Hide

Please contact support-moveon@uni-bayreuth.de. Please note that moveON is only used as an application platform (not for enrolment). Information on the enrolment process can be found here.

I have problems with my account, username, password, or PIN code in CAMPUSonline.Hide

Please contact the CM Technology Team.

I am experiencing technical problems with CAMPUSonline when trying to apply.Hide

For all other technical problems (unusual error messages, page cannot be loaded, etc.) with CAMPUSonline, please contact the CM Help Team.

Please note the instructions for using CAMPUSonline. If you are trying to upload a file that exceeds the maximum data volume, this does not constitute a technical problem. We have compiled a guide for such cases that will help you compress your files to a smaller size. The guide can be found here.

I have some questions regarding application documents required by CAMPUSonline.Hide

If you have applied for a bachelor's degree course or would like to attend a Studienkolleg, please contact the Incoming Degree Team at the University of Bayreuth. Please direct your questions to Michaela Will.

If you have applied for a master's programme, it depends on whether your question relates to the formal or the subject-specific admission criteria. Examples of documents that only refer to the subject-specific criteria would be a proof of an internship, a letter of motivation, or references. If you have any questions about these documents, please contact the relevant programme coordinator.
If you have any questions regarding documents such as your high school diploma, curriculum vitae, or proof of studies, please contact our Incoming Degree Team. For master’s programmes, please contact Anke Matthes and Natascha Turek.
