When can I submit my online application?

Application period for non EU citizens

  • Winter Semester:     15 April to 15 July
  • Summer Semester:  15 October to 15 January
Which documents do I need to submit during my online application?
  • Curriculum vitae
    Please download and fill out this template
  • Grade conversion using the Bavarian Formula
    this will be available as an Excel sheet on CAMPUSonline
  • Language certificate GERMAN level B2 (according to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) for Languages)

  • Passport
    please provide an electronic copy of your valid passport. If you do not have a German identification card, you may submit a copy of your temporary identification or your international passport.
  • Secondary school leaving certificate including subjects and grades (e.g. Abitur, High School Diploma, A-Levels, or equivalent)
    original language + certified translation in German or English*
  • Transcript of records BACHELOR (or for comparable degree) including subjects and grades - at least 150 ECTS points with a final grade corresponding to "1,9" or better on the German grading system - in case of a lower grade point average, an application must be made to improve the average grade, see below
    original language + certified translation in German or English*
  • Grading Scale BACHELOR with maximum grade and minimum final grade required to be awarded the degree – not for passing individual courses
    original language + certified translation in German or English*

*Certified translation in German or English: only required if the document was not issued in German or English

If available or applicable, please also submit the following documents:
  • Degree certificate BACHELOR - with a final grade corresponding to "1,9" or better on the German grading system
    original language + certified translation in German or English*
    you may be enrolled on condition that you submit the certificate by the end of the second semester
  • Application to improve the final grade for one’s initial degree
    can be applied for if the grade point average of at least "1,9" has not been achieved
  • Evidence for the application to improve the final grade for one’s initial degree
  • List of modules for which no evidence of performance exists yet
    only required if your studies have not yet been completed

Then please submit your master's transcript, the relevant grading scale and (if applicable) your master's certificate:

  • Transcript of Records MASTER (or other degree) including subjects and grades
    original language + certified translation in German or English
  • Grading Scale MASTER or other degree with maximum grade and minimum final grade required to be awarded the degree – not for passing individual courses (must be issued by your university)

  • If applicable: Degree certificate MASTER
