The Tokyo Metropolitan University invites students to their 2025 Winter Program. Under the theme „Tokyo Through Time“, the program offers not only an intensive Japanese language class for two different levels, but allows the participants to immerse themselves in Japanese culture and tradition with experiences like a tea ceremony, a calligraphy workshop or kendo training.

The university offers Japanese courses for complete beginners and elementary Japanese 1.

Program Period:

• January 13-30, 2026

• November 7, 2025
  
• Students from partner universities should be nominated first before applying online!
• Nominees can apply here!

Fees:

• 140,000 JPY (approx. USD 922) 
  
• Fee includes accommodation, textbooks, admission fees for field trips ad workshop material
  
• Not included are meals, airfare, insurance, transportation between accommodation and university, other daily expenses
• Payment deadline: December 5, 2025
