Akita Summer Programm 2026: Intensive Japanese language and culture experience

The Akita University offers a intensive Japanese language and culture experience summer program for 6 weeks! Students are invited to learn Japanese on several levels, join in on club activities and field trips, and spend their summer in Akita.

Program Period:

• June 16 – July 24, 2026

Application:

• Jan 26 – Feb 25, 2026 (Nomination deadline: Feb 16, 2026; Students who wish to apply need to be nominated by their home university)

Fees:

• JPY 390,000 (approx. USD 2518) for non-exchange students
• Includes room and meals, bedding, and field trips
