The Tokyo Metropolitan University invites students to their 3-week summer program on Japanese & Japan Studies in 2025! The program focuses on Japanese language classes on three levels (Starter, Elementary 1, Elementary 2), allowing the students to immerse themselves further into Japanese culture by additional fieldtrips, lectures, and cultural experiences such as tea ceremonies and calligraphy.

Program Period:

• 24 June – 11 July, 2025

Application Period:

• March-April, 2025
• Students have to be nominated by their home university. Up to 3 students can be nominated per university.

Program Fee:

• JPY 130,000 – 140,000 (fee subject to change due to unforeseeable situations)
• Fee includes: Accommodation, education materials, admission for field studies
• Not included: meals, airfare, insurance, transportation (between accommodation and university), daily expenses
