Funding opportunities within Europe
In the EU, a self-organised internship in a company or other institution can be funded through the ERASMUS Mobility Placement Programme (SMP).

- Only full-time internships (40 hours/week) are funded.
- Duration of the internship is a minimum of two months (60 days) and a maximum of 12 months
- Proof of sufficient language skills
- Traineeships in the country of origin cannot be supported by the Erasmus+ grant
- Funding should be applied for about two months before the start of the internship.
Important: EU institutions, EU programmes, international and European organisations are not eligible for funding. For further exceptions, please see our information sheet.

- Certificate of Arrival template
- Learning Agreement (/Training Agreement) before the mobility period
- Confirmation of passing the OLS language test
- Declaration of insurance coverage. Important: The insurance coverage must include at least health insurance, liability insurance and accident insurance. It should be noted that you are not insured through the University of Bayreuth.
