Periods and Deadlines
Please note that all documents must be received by the deadline. Unfortunately, applications that are incomplete at the time of the deadline cannot be considered. Please submit your application as soon as possible so that we can inform you of any missing documents. If anything is missing, you will then still have one last chance to complete your application by the deadline.
Detailed information on admission requirements and application deadlines for individual degree programmes can be found in the study programme finder under "How do I get a place" for the respective degree programme.
The relevant deadlines apply both to applications for the first semester and to applications for higher semesters.

You can find out here whether you need a VPD, how to request one from uni-assist and by when you have to submit the VPD in your online application to the UBT.
If you have to request for a VPD via uni-assist for the online application to the Universtiy of Bayreuth, please keep in mind that due to uni-assist’s processing time it may take 6-8 weeks for your VPD to be issued. You should therefore request your VPD as early as possible. Please also note that uni-assist can only start processing your application once the fee has been paid or an exemption has been granted.
Your application to the UBT is only considered to have been received in due form and time if you have applied via our portal CAMPUSonline and have submitted all required documents there, including your VPD, in due form and time.

The general application deadlines also apply to applications for the Studienkolleg. However, we recommend that applicants who already know that they have to apply for the Studienkolleg submit their applications by 15 June (Winter Semester) or 15 December (Summer Semester), as the entrance examinations for the Studienkolleg usually take place in February or September and it can otherwise be difficult to obtain a visa in time or to make travel arrangements.
