Double Degrees
The University of Bayreuth offers various double degree programmes in cooperation with its international partner universities. For further information on our double degrees, please contact the relevant coordinator.
Double degree programmes offer students the opportunity to study at a foreign partner university and to acquire a second degree. Thanks to a longer stay abroad, double degree students become intensively familiar with the culture and language of the host country and will continue to benefit from this throughout their lives.
Within the scope of a double degree programme, the subjects taught at each partner university are coordinated and courses are mutually credited. Thus, such programmes are not separate courses of studies, but rather link the individual degrees programmes of the partner universities involved. After completing a double degree programme, students receive either a joint certificate signed by both universities or two individual certificates that clearly indicate the joint structure of the programme.
